Winton Preparatory Academy's Mission
Winton Preparatory Academy, serving grades K-8, will provide the students with the skills needed to be lifelong learners in the 21st century. Our students will develop consistent academic success by learning through a variety of new educational practices and materials that encourage achievement and student accountability. The goal of Winton Preparatory Academy is to ensure that each child succeeds academically and socially. We strive to provide a school environment that is both safe and academically prosperous in an enriched academic setting.
Winton Preparatory Academy is a community school established under Chapter 3314 of the Ohio Revised Code. The school is a public school and students enrolled in and attending the school are required to take Ohio Achievement Assessments, AIR Assessment, Ohio Graduation Tests, or any other examinations prescribed by law. In addition, there may be other requirements for students at the school that are prescribed by law. Students who have been excused from the compulsory attendance law for purpose of home education as defined by the Administrative Code shall no longer be excused for that purpose upon their enrollment in a community school. Today at Winton Prep, we celebrated Read-O-Ween. The staff and students dressed up as storybook characters, and activities during the day included things that included reading stories, listening to stories, and making crafts about stories. We had a huge variety of costumes and a fun day!
