Starting tomorrow, Tues., Feb. 21, 2017, students in grades K - 8 will be able to participate in a competition! This competition will allow students to move their own race car across a racetrack as they earn points! When they earn 200 points, students in grades K - 4 will get to go on a trip to the Cincinnati Zoo, and students in grades 5 - 8 will get to go to Kings Island! The teachers and students are very excited to get this exciting competition going!
Winton Preparatory Academy's Mission
Winton Preparatory Academy, serving grades K-8, will provide the students with the skills needed to be lifelong learners in the 21st century. Our students will develop consistent academic success by learning through a variety of new educational practices and materials that encourage achievement and student accountability. The goal of Winton Preparatory Academy is to ensure that each child succeeds academically and socially. We strive to provide a school environment that is both safe and academically prosperous in an enriched academic setting.
The word test can cause a certain amount of stress in any student, no matter how well she is doing in school. Confidence and a positive attitude are key to overcoming it — and parents can help on both counts.
Consider sports. You take your child to practice, where she learns the rules of her game. You cheer for her to urge her toward success. When she does well, you celebrate. When she doesn’t, you encourage her to practice and try again.
Mr. Sylvester is keeping our students very engaged in music class by allowing them to use rhythm sticks to keep the beat of their favorite songs. The fourth graders picked "Man in the Mirror" to practice their rhythm!
Mr. Wallace was nominated and won an award from some alumni from Winton Preparatory Academy. Some former students from Del Cristo Rey High School were so touched by Mr. Wallace's support and preparing them to be ready and become successful for high school. Congratulations Mr. Wallace!
Kindergarteners really enjoyed celebrating the 100th day of school! They did many fun and engaging activities that had to do with the number 100!
