The goal of Winton Preparatory Academy is to ensure that each child succeeds academically and socially. We strive to provide a school environment that is both safe and academically prosperous in an enriched academic setting.
Please note that Winton Preparatory Academy, Buckeye Preparatory Academy, and Main Preparatory Academy Board of Directors will be having a special baord meeting scheduled for:
Tuesday, December 20, 2016
Main Preparatory Academy
1035 Clay Street
Akron, Ohio 44301
The students in grades K through 6 got to watch a very funny show from the actors in the National Children's Theatre who put on the Conservation Caper for our students. They really enjoyed it and had a great time. Also for parents were postcards to fill out to receive free energy kits at MyEnergyKit.org.
“Most impactful for me was out of all the adults in the room – the awesome 5th grader, Daymajai Rogers, who without a lot a show or demanding recognition – “get...s it” and “takes action” to teach others to make an impact. I appreciate the county for recognizing the students – it sends a message to adults that if children care about the future earth – we should too. Even with that – when I congratulated Daymajai and told him how he inspired me and what a great leader he was, Daymajai humbly said, “I couldn’t of done it without my teachers.” Blew my socks off!”
All this about Daymajai Rogers from Winton Preparatory Academy who was nominated by Ms. Horrocks for the annual Hamilton County Recycling and Solid Waste District Student Recycler Award. Mr. Wallace and Ms. Horrocks picked him up in an Uber, brought him to the awards, sat with him while he was very polite though the entire ceremony, and then treated him to lunch and a milk shake on the way back to school! What a fun and exciting day for Daymajai!!
